WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?

Busy, consistency, on target, focused in the zone, exceeding the goal consistently and so on.

Are these some of the words that resonate with you and your employees? Spring is here and is it harder to concentrate with warm weather. However, don’t your customers always expect the best? One of the keys to good business is always over deliver. Be able to give the extra service and exceptional products that separate the winner from the one in second place, I realized after receiving several emails where have I been,” Missed your blogs”, ” Blogs were always full of passion, ” I liked reading your blogs for the practical and industry focused content”. Thank you for that. It jump started me again in writing blogs. We always get so busy at work and life. As you are reading this, are you shaking your head saying this is I? How many times in business do we lose our vision and direction even for a moment? We do not remember the end vision goals. We do not remember to keep on track.

FOUR TIPS TO KEEP YOU FOCUSED OR GET YOU REFOCUSED:

  • HAVE YOUR GOALS/INITIATIVES WRITTEN FOR YOU TO SEE.  REMEMBER IF THESE ARE, EMPLOYEES’ GOALS HAVE THEM WHERE THEY CAN SEE THEM EVERYDAY

 

  • TAKE A FEW MINUTES EACH DAY TO VISUALIZE WHAT COUNTS, RECHARGE YOURSELF WITH THAT IT WORKS. SHUT YOUR EYES AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THESE SUCCESSFUL GOALS WOULD LOOK LIKE. HAVE PEOPLE IN YOUR  DEPARTMENT PARTAKE IN THIS APPROACH. VISUALIZE WHAT A SUCCESSFUL DAY IS IN YOUR OPERATION.

 

  • SUCCESS=SUM OF THE PARTS. IF YOU ARE FEELING FRUSTRATED ON NOT FINISHING THE WHOLE ASSIGNMENT, TASK. THEN START WITH ONE OR TWO PARTS OF A PROCESS, SALES CYCLES, SALES CALL, ETC…WHAT IS POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE TODAY? THEN DO IT WELL AND FEEL ACCOMPLISHED.ONCE YOU DO THAT  YOU WILL SEE THINGS WILL FLOW AND IDEAS WLL COME MORE EASILY. IT SEEMS FOR MOST PEOPLE IT IS THE GETTING STARTED THAT IS THE CHALLENGE.   • CELEBRATE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS EVERYDAY.  I HAVE EMPHASIZED THIS WHEN WORKING WITH SALES FORCES, HOSPITAL DEPARTMENTS AND IN  MY SPEAKING PROGRAM,WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME? WIIFM. CREATIVE APPROACHES, NEW IDEAS, EXTRA EFFORT ARE ALL REASON TO CELEBRATE FOR YOU AND YOUR EMPLOYEES. THERE ARE WAYS TO APPRECIATE WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK. E.G. HOW ABOUT PUTTING REGULAR OR LOW CALORIE TREATS WITH A NOTE ON SOMEONES DESK TO VALIDATE WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.
